Don Stuart
Don Stuart is an American artist who creates ceramic sculptures by combining wheel-thrown shapes. He creates monumental pieces that exploit the tension between the perfection of abstract shapes and the imperfection of hand-made objects.
Don was born in 1957 and studied illustration and ceramics at the Columbus College of Art and Design. His influences include the early 20th century British potter Hans Coper.
Stuart lives and works in Cleveland, OH. He recently retired from American Greetings after a 35-year career as a Senior Illustrator.
