Hosted in connection with performances at Severance Music Center, this exhibition explores resilience, transformation, and the radical act of love through Flowers’ deeply personal and expressive work. 🙏🏼🖼️💫

In collaboration with Xhibition @xhibition_ , the exhibition will also feature an exclusive fashion merchandise release—bridging contemporary art and streetwear culture in a way that embodies the spirit of the festival. 💫🧢

The 2026 Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival @cleveorch will be curated by Grammy-winning composer Terence Blanchard, @terence_blanchard alongside renowned social justice advocate Bryan Stevenson, this year’s festival centers on the theme of courage.

🗣“The works in this special exhibition explore courage as a visual language for unconditional love. When courage leads, empathy deepens, giving rise to a sense of closeness that invites viewers to move beyond fear and toward a more generous, compassionate way of being.”
-Halim Flowers

🗣 “The 2026 Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival is about courage, the courage to speak your mind, the courage to be able to listen and truly hear, the courage to allow all of us to have a voice and come together as a community should. I’m excited to be this year’s Festival Curator because it’s going to give us an opportunity to use various musical experiences to find the commonality of who we are as human beings, who we need to be moving forward, and how we can remind ourselves of our own humanity.”
— Terence Blanchard

Opening Day ⚾️

As the Cleveland Guardians take the field today in Seattle to kick off the 2026 season, we’re reminded that baseball is as much about memory as it is about the moment. @cleguardians @mlb

Photographer Stephen Wilkes captures both in Field of Dreams—a photograph born from patience, persistence, and a little bit of magic. Shot at the original Field of Dreams site, the day began under grey, rain-soaked skies, with a field divided and uncertainty in the air. @stephenwilkes

Then, just before sunset, everything shifted. The clouds broke. The long-dormant field lights flickered on. And a rare ground fog—seen only once during the film’s original 30-day shoot—rolled in through the right field cornrows.

For a fleeting minute, the sky turned cotton-candy pink and something extraordinary appeared. Perched atop his van with a 4x5 camera, Wilkes made four exposures—each one holding onto a moment that felt almost imagined.

Opening Day has a way of doing that too—bringing hope, nostalgia, and the possibility that anything can happen.

Play ball. ⚾️ Go Guards! @cleguardians

Curious about digital art? 🎥✨ Adding digital artwork to your collection feels different when it moves, breathes, and tells a story 🎥✨🖼️

We recently added a piece by Kasumi @kasumifilms - a video work that completely transforms the gallery space. Digital art isn’t just something you hang anymore, it’s something you experience. From the glow of the screen to the rhythm of the motion, it brings a whole new energy to collecting. 💫🎥🖼️ We love the way it enlivens the David Yarrow @davidyarrow Sinclair Oil and Gary Komarin, @garykomarin Cakes. So cool!!🎥💫🖼️✨

Thinking about starting your own digital collection? Start with what resonates, invest in proper display (screens matter!), and don’t be afraid to mix digital with physical pieces. The contrast is where the magic happens. ✨

ART is evolving – and so should our collections. 💫🖼️🎥✨

Stop by District Gallery or contact us today for more information about Kasumi @kasumifilms and her available digital works.
