NEW RELEASE | David Yarrow, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof 🦁📸 2026 Dinokeng, South Africa Real or AI? In 2026, David Yarrow knows an image this extraordinary will raise the question. Photographed at Kevin Richardson’s lion sanctuary in South Africa, every element of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is real. Yarrow photographed Yame the lion from the safety of a heavy cage, followed immediately by the women, later bringing the elements together into one cinematic composition. A B-roll film crew documented the process from behind the scenes. 📸 The photograph is also the product of Yarrow’s 12-year creative partnership with Kevin Richardson and their shared commitment to the sanctuary. Proceeds from photographs created through this collaboration help support the sanctuary and the important work of caring for its lions. Inspired in part by an earlier Yarrow photograph featuring a woman and a wolf separated by the roof of an old car, this new composition uses a battered 1950s car to create both separation and suspense—culminating in Yame’s remarkable leap onto the “tin roof.” A nod to Tennessee Williams, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is newly released in both black & white and colour.
