Jin-Woo Prensena is a Los Angeles-based fine art photographer celebrated for his dramatic aerial photography and large-scale, limited-edition works. Known for going to extraordinary lengths to capture his images, Prensena has photographed from thousands of feet above Downtown Los Angeles, flown over the remote riverbeds of the Icelandic Highlands, and suspended above the iconic Faraglioni rocks of Capri. His photographs transform beaches, landscapes, and natural formations into striking compositions of color, pattern, and perspective.
Raised in Germany and of South Korean descent, Prensena has lived and worked in Los Angeles for nearly three decades. His extensive travels have taken him from the sun-drenched coastline of Cape Town to the frozen backcountry of Whistler, Canada. Using innovative camera technology and a meticulous approach to detail, he creates immersive photographs distinguished by exceptional clarity, vivid color, and a sense of scale that invites viewers to experience familiar landscapes from an entirely new perspective.
Prensena’s work has been featured by National Geographic Traveler, Architectural Digest, The Wall Street Journal, and CNN Travel, with solo exhibitions including ELEMENTS at 45 Park Lane in Mayfair, London, and REFLECTIONS at The Beverly Hills Hotel. His work is held in prominent private and corporate collections worldwide, with collectors including Jessica Alba, Jennifer Garner, Ben Stiller, Chelsea Handler, Molly Sims, and Lauren Sánchez Bezos. Corporate placements include Saban Capital Group, the Los Angeles Rams, Irell & Manella, and Anita Ko Jewelry.
