Shivani Dugar, born in Calcutta in 1979 and raised in Bangalore, is a New York–based abstract artist. A graduate in Finance from Georgetown University, she pursued her passion for art with a Master’s in Fine Art from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. She has exhibited widely in solo and group shows in the U.S. and abroad.
Her work draws from the textures and moods of nature, expressed through layered tones and bold mark-making influenced by printmaking. Through light, movement, and depth, her paintings invite viewers into a space of memory, ambiguity, and personal interpretation.
