Strength to Love by Halim Flowers

Halim Flowers is an American painter, rapper, poet and author. After spending 22 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit, he was finally released, and has emerged as a powerful voice in the contemporary art scene. While incarcerated, Halim turned to artistic impression to channel his creativity and resilience. Inspired by the raw energy of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Halim’s vibrant, textured works explore themes of love, acceptance, and healing. His art has been exhibited internationally, resonating with collectors across the globe. In addition to his visual art, Halim, Xhibition and District Gallery launched a limited-edition streetwear line, available exclusively at Xhibition, blending fashion, art, empowerment, and transformation.

Halim Flowers’ exhibition, Strength to Love, alongside the launch of his streetwear line merges art, fashion, and community in Cleveland. Proceeds from select works benefited the Edwins Foundation, which provides culinary and hospitality training, mentorship, and second chances for formerly incarcerated adults.
