Muskoka Home

This contemporary Lake House was designed to co-exist with nature and water.  When selecting art, it was important that the works added color and texture, but that it didn’t take away from the beautiful, natural setting.  The art in this house was the icing on the cake, finishing the design and beautifully elevating the space.

The beauty and symmetry found in nature is reflected in this stunning T.M. Glass floral photograph.  It adds pops of color and completes this very neutral wall with images of Azaleas and Tulips.
Nelson de la Nuez’s mixed media piece of Muhammed Ali is an unexpected pop of color and texture in this peaceful guest room.

The Main Room is enveloped by natural stone, wood and water. This stunning Marc Ross original acrylic on canvas reflects the blue water from outside adding a calm, relaxing feeling to the space.

The serene Primary Bedroom overlooks the water.  A peaceful, airy natural tree by Peter Hoffer feels like it belongs in the space and adds a textural landscape.  The clear resin topcoat brings the piece to life.

Joshua Jensen-Nagle’s aerial beach photograph has a dreamy, tranquil feeling to it and is the perfect way to reflect the outdoor setting.

These stunning white butterflies by Stephen Wilson seem to be flying out the window.  They add texture and depth to a stairway wall which can be a tricky space to curate.

This whimsical flamingo and  Highland cows add personality to the guest room walls and maintain the clean lines and feel of the space.

Randal Ford’s still image photography captures the personality of the animals he photographs in studio.

This nostalgic neon motel painting by fine artist Geoffrey Gersten adds beautiful color and is a fun piece to hang near the guest room area.

South African artist Neill Wright’s bold, multi-layered and colorful works are printed on these fun surfboards in the kids hang-out area.
Paula Rubinstein’s gorgeous original oil on canvas work of a summertime picnic brings color, texture and dimension to this sitting area.
