Hijack

Born in 1992, Hijack is most famously known for his distinctive artworks tucked away throughout the streets of Los Angeles. His work targets Los Angeles’ most heavily trafficked areas, while creating moments of serenity and introspection.

Hijack is one of the most talked-about, up and coming artists in today’s contemporary art scene. In 2013, the artist made his UK debut at the Mead Carney fine art gallery on Dover Street in London. That same year, Hijack worked on an exhibit with Mr. Brainwash at the Dieresis Cultural Center in Guadalajara, Mexico. More recently, Hijack collaborated with MSP Modern to create a limited series of skateboards, alongside Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, and John Baldessari.

Hijack’s style is reminiscent of Banksy’s and often consist of anti-authoritarian black cat stencil. Hijack waits for the right moment to create, in order to depict his characters in a response-provoking space. Inspired by the spirit of music and the poetry of everyday moments, Hijack creates colorful work that pushes the boundaries on who we are as a society.
